Gary Peterson is a noted outdoor artist. He has lived most of his life in Alaska and is honored to be numbered among the Tlingit tribe of Kake, Alaska. His adopted name Yaana Gut Yehlh means Walking Raven. Garys close association with the culture and the years spent living in the village of Kake left an indelible impression. His work combines traditional design principles of Northwest Coastal indian art with his own wildlife and landscape techniques. The result is a beautiful combination of the ancient and modern that reflect the true talent and insight of this artist.
